Nyetimber

So far June 2012 has been an auspicious month for Nyetimber.  We were the only sparkling wine served to The Queen and the Royal Family on the Royal Barge during the Diamond Jubilee Thames Pageant and at the State Lunch at the Palace of Westminster on 5th June.

June is also when Nyetimber becomes the Official Sparkling Wine for London Collections: Men. For over twenty years Nyetimber has had a single aim: to make the finest English sparkling wine, one to rival the very best in the world, including champagne.  Our numerous international awards have proven that England can indeed produce wines of Grande Marque standard.

It seems particularly fitting that such a similarly pioneering initiative will be celebrating with Nyetimber.  For our part we look forward to raising a toast to British originality and hope that London now becomes a permanent part of the Men’s fashion calendar, something that is long overdue.

SWAROVSKI Official Timepiece of London Collections: MEN

After successfully launching its first ever collection of men’s watches at Baselworld 2012, Swarovski has been selected to be the Official Timepiece of London Collections: Men for 2012.

The brand will be hosting ‘Swarovski Time’ in the Swarovski press room at the week’s central hub, The Hospital Club, where visitors can view an array of styles from the new collection. The Swarovski watch collection and team will also be present at the ‘press afternoon’ held at The Hospital Club.

Swarovski’s creativity, perfection, and innovation have been masterfully combined with Swiss watch-making expertise to create 3 ranges of crystal cut timepieces: “Octea Abyssal Automatic”, “Piazza Grande Quartz” and “Piazza Grande Automatic”.

The “Octea Abyssal Automatic” model is distinguished by its sporty design and emphasis on performance. This ultra-contemporary watch has all the premium quality of a Swiss mechanical movement with automatic winding, making it the perfect accessory for leisure activities.

Incorporating urban forms influenced by contemporary architecture, the “Piazza Grande Quartz” line will attract men looking for modern elegance, both refined and masculine, while combining the precision and quality of Swiss watch-making.

Faithful to the maxim by company founder Daniel Swarovski, “always improve that which is already good”, Swarovski pushes the limits of perfection by integrating a mechanical Swiss watch movement with automatic winding into the “Piazza Grande Automatic” models.

London Collections: Men will take place 15th-17th June 2012 at The Hospital Club, 24 Endell Street, WC2H 9HQ.

The Woolmark Company

The Woolmark Company and its Cool Wool campaign will be supporting the first London Collections: Men event in June in order to raise awareness of Cool Wool and support the wealth of menswear talent that is present in the UK.  Merino wool is a key fibre for menswear and The Woolmark Company feel Cool Wool has an important role to play in the development of S/S 13 collections.

The Woolmark Company re-launched its successful Cool Wool Campaign to manufacturers and trade press in Paris at Première Vision in February this year.  This marked the beginning of what will be an international roll out to trade with consumer engagement to follow for S/S 13.

Through innovations and developments in textiles it’s  now possible to produce fabric which is much finer and lighter than before opening up a great opportunity for Merino wool with its natural breathability and temperature regulation.  The manufacturing partners that form the Cool Wool guild are leaders in their field producing some of the finest and most luxurious wool fabrics in the world. Modern spinning and weaving techniques have enhanced the already incredible fineness of Merino wool to transform an amazing, totally renewable natural fibre into a range of COOL WOOL fabrics.

With the launch of Cool Wool The Woolmark Company hopes to raise awareness of wool’s natural cooling characteristics, positioning lighter, more versatile Merino Wool fabrics as ideal for the S/S months.
