LONDON FASHION WEEK & BRITISH FASHION INDUSTRY FACTS & FIGURES SEPTEMBER 2011

•    68 catwalk shows and 37 presentations to take place over 6 days
•    205 UK and International emerging and established, ready to wear and accessories designers at The Exhibition at London Fashion Week (LFW)
•    Canon is the principal sponsor for the twelfth consecutive season
•    The Exhibition at LFW will play host to 19 Estethica designers, 17 NEWGEN designers and 6 Multibrand   Showrooms
•    Menswear day, now in its 6th season, has 9 shows and 6 presentations
•    On the catwalk there are 4 NEWGEN, sponsored by Topshop, designers: David Koma, Holly Fulton, Louise Gray, and Michael van der Ham
•    2 NEWGEN MEN, sponsored by TOPMAN, designers are showing on the catwalk: Christopher Shannon and James Long
•    Fashion Forward, sponsored by Coutts & Co and supported by the Mayor of London, will support three designers on the catwalk this season: Meadham Kirchhoff, Peter Pilotto and Todd Lynn
•    Over 5,000 visitors are expected: buyers, TV & radio crews, journalists and photographers
•    Media coverage equals or exceeds most major news and international sporting events
•    UK media coverage each season now exceeds £100m and media coverage from the International Guest Programme exceeds £53m (source: Precise)
•    It is estimated that orders of over £100m are placed during LFW each season; the International Guest Programme alone generates over £50m of orders
