International Fashion Showcase 2012 Japan Showroom

Japan always produces exciting new fashion talent and expressions of Japanese design influence artists and designers around the world. This exhibition brings together young designers Kaji Masahito and Kawanishi Ryohei, who both create works of boldness and sensitivity, and with each belonging to a contemporary global community of cultural exchanges. Their designs are reactions to what has gone before and what is yet to come. You will see references in Kaji’s millinery to a romanticised Japan, while Kawanishi’s works bring us face to face with the strikingly contemporary.
