LONDON show ROOMS Women: 27th September - 3rd October 2017

The LONDON show ROOMS provide a unique opportunity for emerging British designers to promote themselves outside London. The pop-up showroom in Paris is a strategic element of the British Fashion Council's support and mentoring scheme.

Criteria

  • Must have graduated no less than six months prior to showing in LONDON show ROOMS
  • Must be a registered UK business
  • Must have a working studio
  • Must already have successfully fulfilled two orders (excluding own brand website). Should this not be applicable, BFC will need to verify the ability to fulfil orders prior to consideration
  • Has reliable source for fabrics
  • Has pattern cutting skills or is employing an appropriate person
  • Has the ability to produce for production - either  with a manufacturer or in house
  • Must provide costing sheets for all garments and calculations for wholesale prices, prior to the LONDON show ROOMS (deadline to be given when invited to LsR)
  • Has not cancelled or failed to deliver any orders in the past two seasons
  • BFC to have not received any complaints about the designer’s business practice
  • In Paris, designers' collections should be exclusively sold at the LONDON show ROOMS (no double exposure). The LONDON show ROOMS is a support initiative for designers who don’t have a sales agent in Paris. If a brand is already working with a sales agent, the agent should not have a Paris showroom. In exceptional circumstances, where the agent does have a Paris showroom, it is at the BFC’s discretion whether to include the designer in the LONDON show ROOMS
  • Designers must agree to meet with the BFC team after LsR. This is to feedback on sales, as well as be offered support on follow-up procedure in order to ensure the positive development of stockist relationships

Information

  • Applicants currently part of another BFC initiative will be prioritised when allocating space within the LONDON show ROOMS
  • Applicants who have taken part in the previous edition of LONDON show ROOMS will be prioritised
  • LONDON show ROOMS is a curated group of designers ranging from emerging talent, to London’s new establishment and guest designer brands and the final decision is at the discretion of the BFC
