The BFC is looking for an experienced Senior Sales Executive to join the Designer Relations team to maintain and grow our Designer Showrooms sales. You will work on London Fashion Week and London Fashion Week Men’s as well as project managing BFC initiatives; London Pre-Collections, Rock Vault and Headonism. 

An ideal candidate will have strong trend and brand awareness as well as a good eye for sourcing new exciting and relevant brands through various channels. They will also demonstrate strong sales and communications skills have experience working on live events.



  • Responsible for sales for London Fashion Week Designer Showrooms, and oversee sales for London Show Rooms, London Fashion Week Men’s, and London Fashion Week Festival
  • Develop and maintain key designer relationships
  • Meet and exceed sales targets
  • Identify and target prospective new clients
  • Successfully curating the placement of designers within the showrooms 
  • Creating succinct reports post-event to aid future decisions and designer selection 
  • Proactively works across teams to ensure the production of efficient sales tools such as sales pack and video


  • Directly manage Sales & Showcasing Executive
  • Support the Senior Sales & Showcasing Manager
  • Immediately addresses and resolves issues/challenges
  • Pro-actively supports the team
  • Contribute to weekly Senior Management reports and quarterly Board reports

Initiative Management

  • Ensure that each initiative follows its critical path
  • Manage the new designer selection process – including online applications and selection days
  • Work with Business Support to plan mentoring sessions
  • Manage the on-boarding of new designers
  • Lead brainstorm meetings to further the exposure of all initiatives 
  • Work cohesively across all internal departments to ensure maximum exposure and well curated events

Events & Initiatives

  • Onsite account management of designers at LFW, LFWM and Pre-collections
  • Leads on execution of offsite initiative events with the support of the Events team
  • Work closely with the Events team, external production company and the wider team to deliver successful events that work for the designers and audience 
  • Work calmly and methodically to address any logistical issues onsite at all events
  • Oversee the Sales Executive at LFWM and offer support

Relationships (both internal and external to the business)

  • Source and build relationships with UK & International brands, and initiative curators
  • Maintain strong relationships with PR, Sales agencies and the BFC’s production company
  • Acts as a point of contact for queries/concerns raised both internally and externally and refers questions to team as necessary 
  • From an internal point of view, your strongest relationships will be with the immediate Designer Relations team, Events team, Communications team and Brand Partnerships team

Business & Financial Management

  • Support on budget monitoring, invoices, etc.
  • Manage very tight deadlines 

Skills & Requirements

Person Specification & Skills

  • Passion for the luxury and contemporary level fashion market across both men's and women's
  • Will possess excellent brand awareness and taste level
  • Demonstrate an awareness of key UK and International retailers
  • Ability to think outside the box
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills both face-to-face and on the telephone
  • Will have at least five years previous sales experience within fashion
  • Ability to project manage and multi-task autonomously
  • Can prioritise tasks in order of importance to ensure delivery with tight deadlines
  • Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail and follow-through on all tasks and admin duties and keep databases updated
  • Create and compose correspondence, with perfect formatting and grammar in a business environment and experience of writing reports to a high standard
  • Positive outlook with an enthusiastic and friendly approach
  • Highly driven and results focused 
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Ability to remain calm, diplomatic and composed
  • Advanced IT skills in Microsoft Word and Excel essential
  • Knowledge of UK and international retail market, Dept. stores and boutiques

Salary & Benefits

  • Job type: full time, permanent
  • Salary band: £TBC, dependant on experience
  • Standard company benefits, including 25 days annual holiday
  • Standard company working hours, flexibility required during events, exhibitions, etc.
  • Confirmation of appointment and eligibility to benefits, subject to successful completion of a three month probationary period
  • This salary is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). This is due to the BFC being a recipient of ERDF funds and as such employees are required to keep a record, via monthly time sheets, of the work undertaken relating to ERDF funded activities
